My reason to enjoy this record is not the best one and can only be resumed to one song, "Mojave Mirage" which could be easily mixed up with a potential lost unreleased instrumental from the Red House Painters or from Sun Kil Moon.
For a good reason. Desertshore is a duo from San Francisco, with Chris Connolly and Phil Carney. Phil Carney performed as guitarist for the Red House Painters (as replacement for original guitarist Gordon Mack) and followed with Sun Kil Moon, Besides this, Mark Kozelek produces and releases the album on his own label.
Besides "Mojave Mirage", the music they play is decent but not really following the roads I prefer.
