Solo project of a Brooklyn based songwriter, "Tucker Tota is Dull and Ordinary" is apparently his second album. These songs are mostly upbeat, catchy, vocals have an acidic quality. At best it recalls me of Kickball or early Minus Story records, with a tense, dark and dynamic vibe.
There are a few other times when his music turns into something more quiet and melancholic, as with the first part of “Athletic and Disease” or on “Perfect and Loud ”, “ Weak and Underused”. Besides these particular moments, this record is very typical of the american indie pop rock of the last 25 years and fails to seriously grab my attention.
