sink \ sink - the darkest dark goes (Feedback Loop, 2012)

Hangover type of album, as I never really know if their songs makes me feel high or just saturate my brain, as "The darkest dark goes" is both intense and badly balanced as a whole. 

Sometimes it sounds like 4AD ethereal stuff but witohut really embracing the genre, as there is something from The Cocteau Twins, from This Mortal Coil or more or less related bands like Shelleyan Orphan, or even Mazzy Star, while in fact it mostly fits along much more recent bands like Memoryhouse or Au Palais in their songwriting and directions.

Pascal Savy - liminal (2011, Feedback Loop)

Last year I tried to listen to Pascal Savy's album "The Silent Watcher" on Audiomoves, but felt rapidly disconnected and didn't insist much more. I was uncertain about this new ep, the nice artwork invited me to try and this time I can find my marks as a listener and let the music flow.  

Landrecorder - morning, afternoon, evening (2010, Feedback Loop)

Short ep released on Feedback Loop, a netlabel from Lisbon, Portugal, "Morning, afternoon, evening" is the first release of Landrecorder, an artist that doesn't want to disclose his name but he is based in the UK.

These three tracks mix field recordings and instruments. With the revolution of affordable portable digital recorders such an evolution in the ambient field was expected to bloom and this ep, like the one Padang Food Tigers recently released too is an impressive success in this direction already opened a few years ago by Yuichiro Fujimoto or Daisuke Miyatani.
